Sun City Anthem
Sun City Anthem for people 55+ is part of the upscale master-planned Anthem community in the hilly, very windy area of Henderson to the south of Las Vegas. It is arguably the most affluent retirement community in the Las Vegas area.
Also included in Anthem are other retirement communities: the more affordable Solera and the Villas at Solera as well as the luxury condominiums of Terra Bella. The nearby Coventry and Anthem Country Club neighborhoods are for people of all ages.
Active lives at work and play
The average age for people moving into the Sun City Anthem is around 60 according to the Del Webb Corporation. Almost half the residents work full or part time. And almost all have chosen to live in Sun City to have an active, vital lifestyle.
The extraordinary Community Center, perched at the top of a hill, houses exercise facilities, indoor and outdoor pools, sports courts, a wellness center, craft rooms, a billiard center, a computer club, the Trumpets restaurant and so much more. The views of the entire Las Vegas Valley, including the bright lights of The Strip, and the spectacular Spring Mountains to the west are unparalleled.

The steep Sun City Anthem’s Revere golf course is rated the 3rd best in Las Vegas — just behind 2 private courses.
Golfing at Sun City Anthem’s Revere Golf Course in 100°F temperature. The golf course is the only place with wide stretches of grass in Anthem. Only drought tolerant desert plants are used in the roughs on the golf course and in landscaping around the homes.
One interesting feature of Sun City Anthem is the close relationship with a local hospital just down the hill. Some outpatient medical care and testing is actually conducted in the Sun City community center.
If you are considering purchasing a home in Sun City Anthem, be sure to ask about the homeowner’s association fees. HOA fees vary considerably from block to block within the community.
Solera at Anthem
A neighborhood for people over age 50, Solera at Anthem, is located next door to Sun City Anthem in Henderson in the southern Las Vegas Valley. The home prices are lower in Solera. For more detailed information about Solera go here.

Sun City MacDonald Ranch
Sun City MacDonald Ranch is a smaller, more intimate retirement community for people age 55+ in Henderson in the hilly, southern part of the Las Vegas Valley just a short ways from Anthem. It has a very different character.
